FreqOUT! Music Workshop at PIP

Below are the tracks produced during a two day FreqOUT! Music Workshop at PIP (Pursuing Independent Paths - http://www.piponline.org.uk/about.php)

PIP provides a full range of education, training and support for people with learning disabilities, and we were very happy to be a part of their programme.

The sessions were vibrant and exciting, with all attendees producing at least one track of their own. A number of learners also worked together with our music tutor James, to produce a group track.

Music production was a new skill for most of the learners, but the whole FreqOUT! team was really impressed by how quickly they picked it up, and by the range and quality of the work they produced.

Many thanks to the staff and students at PIP, for your hard work, and for making us feel so welcome!

FreqOUT! has been developing a social enterprise model for our work for some time now, and earlier this year it had its inaugural outing.

The Hilton in the Community Foundation held its annual Volunteer Champions Workshop and Seminar day at the Hilton Kensington, and FreqOUT! was there to document events.

As well as creating a film for the Hilton in the Community Foundation to use as a record of the day, FreqOUT! tutors ran animation workshops with delegates, to illustrate the themes of the conference.

The day was a great success. We got an insight in to the great work that HCF Volunteer Champions do, and the delegates got to take part in what one described as “By far the best session of the last 3 years”.

The donation that Hilton made will allow FreqOUT! to run a workshop with young people out in the community.
